South Craven School celebrates successful A Level results

South Craven School has congratulated its students for a fantastic set of results in A
level and Level 3 vocational courses.


Over 50% of the Level 3 results were at A*-B (Distinction*/Distinction).
Headteacher Martyn Hill said: The achievements of this fantastic group of students
has made me very proud, especially considering the challenges they have faced
throughout their time in education. I want to congratulate each one of them and
extend my congratulations and thanks to parents and families who have supported
them so well. I also want to say thank you to the staff at South Craven, who work so
hard to ensure students successfully achieve their potential.”


Head of Sixth Form Caroline Taylor said: “This year group have been a pleasure to
work with, and I congratulate them all on their achievements. Their determination
and hard work has paid off, and they are now ready to take the next exciting step on
their journey. We wish them all the best of luck with their future plans. We would love
for them to keep in touch and let us know where their next adventure takes them.”


The CEO of Apex Collaborative Trust John Tarbox, said: “Congratulations to
everyone on these excellent results. So much hard work from students and staff has
culminated in these grades, along with support from parents and carers. I wish
everyone continued success and happiness in the next stage of their lives.”
Students will be going on to study at a wide range of universities, including the
University of Oxford (History and German), Durham University (Natural Sciences),
the University of Edinburgh (Illustration) and Leeds Beckett University (Primary
Education/Sport).


Many students will also be progressing into high-quality apprenticeship and degree
apprenticeship opportunities across a range of sectors. These include a degree
apprenticeship in Chemistry with The Airedale Group, alongside apprenticeship
opportunities with NFU Mutual Insurance, Redmayne Bentley and within the
healthcare sector.


Others will be taking their first steps into the world of employment, securing exciting
roles with organisations including Disneyland Paris and the Devonshire Arms Hotel.
